Account & Calibration Mode

Manage your business profile, plan, integrations, and team — and use Calibration Mode to link a freshly imported PoS catalog to your vendors.

Account & Settings is your store's control panel — one scrolling page that holds your profile, plan, integrations, and team. It also holds Calibration Mode, the setting you use once when you first connect a point-of-sale.

What's on the Account page

  • Profile — your store name, a friendly nickname, and your logo.
  • Calibration Mode — the first-time PoS-linking switch (below).
  • Billing & Plans — your subscription, next billing date, and the option to add the Seymour print server.
  • Integrations — connect Clover; Lightspeed and Faire are marked Coming Soon.
  • Team Members — invite employees and set their role (Owner, Administrator, Manager, or Employee).
A couple of things you might expect here live elsewhere, because they have their own homes: pricing and naming rules are on the Rules hub, and your category tree is under Store categories.

Calibration Mode

When you first connect your point-of-sale, your imported catalog needs to be linked to your vendors — so that when a vendor's PO comes in, Tangerine Star knows which of your existing products each line is. Calibration Mode is how you build those links safely.

"Turn on calibration mode, then upload POs from your vendors — the system will match vendor line items to your existing catalog products without affecting inventory or pricing."

How to use it

Turn it on

Flip Enable Calibration Mode on the Account page. While it's active, the upload dialog reads "Upload Calibration PO," and a banner reminds you that uploaded POs won't update inventory or create products yet.

Upload your vendors' POs

Upload real purchase orders. Instead of receiving them into stock, Tangerine Star lines each PO's items up against your imported catalog.

A "Link to Catalog" step sorts items into high-confidence matches, suggestions, and unmatched. You confirm the links — this is what teaches the system which product each vendor line refers to.

Turn it off

Once your catalog is fully linked, switch Calibration Mode off. From then on, uploaded POs receive normally — updating inventory and creating new products.

Calibration is a one-time setup step, not part of your everyday flow. You'll typically use it right after connecting Clover and importing your catalog, then leave it off for good.
Calibration is step 4 of the day-one path — see the whole sequence in Onboarding.
